As the car came to a gentle halt, Alex sprang into action, hurrying around to open the door for me with a gallant smile. I felt a flutter in my chest at the thoughtful gesture but protested nonetheless. "You don't have to do that, Alex. I'm perfectly capable of opening my door." Alex chuckled, his eyes crinkling at the corners as he offered me his hand. "I know you are, but I feel good doing it. It makes me feel like I'm taking care of you. Come on, let's go inside." I couldn't resist the warmth in his voice or the tender way he looked at me. I took his hand, feeling a spark of electricity as our palms touched. As we walked towards his house, he suggested, "Why don't we start making preparations for the wedding? We can go over the guest list, the venue, and all the other details."
