Piper’s POV
I turned around and saw Mom walking along with Jensen. Maybe that was a time for me to explain everything to them. I never expected things to go so fast.
Jessie also turned around while holding my hand and looked at Jensen. Then she looked at me with a questioning and confused look.
“H-he,” she said.
“Piper, him,” she said a second time.
I turned off my phone and waited for Mom to walk towards me. From a distance, I saw Mom and Jensen’s faces change. They must be confused and wondering. Even though I was ready to explain, my heart was still beating quite fast.
“Piper, what’s going on? Who is she? Why her?” Mom asked as she looked at Jessie with a probing gaze.
