Emilia's POV
It was a long night. Alex and I didn't talk, but our thoughts were in the same place. How does one do this to their blood, and how does it feel afterward?
Being a leader is very difficult because you have to make unpleasant choices. Some of them you'll regret for the rest of your life, and I hope this one is not one of them.
These are the same people who have gone far and beyond to make our lives miserable, but we are still losing sleep over them, and it's not fair.
"Do you think that they might get a different verdict?" I don't know what I'm hoping for, but I know that it's never easy to be responsible for somebody's life.
"I don't know what will happen, but I'm hoping it doesn't come to a point where we have to make the final decision." Alex said.
