Nicholas’ POV:
When I entered the third room, I did not have much reaction time and was soon hit by a blast that got me between the ribs on the left side of my body and I fell to the floor in two seconds. The crowd was still applauding me and in the midst of the applause, the screams of joy turned to utter astonishment.
As I assessed where I was and what had attacked me, there was again a blast, only this time I heard the noise in time and rolled to the side before being attacked again. That is when I looked at my attacker and there she was, even prettier and darker: this was Allegra's golem.
My brain was glad it had been a golem, but this one was different. How could I fight someone who was the exact image of the one I loved?
