Allegra’s POV:
“Allegra, I…" I heard those words and it felt like my stomach was turning into ice. My face got on fire, it was so flushed I must have been on fire. How could I be so stupid as to let my conversation with Alistair turn into a reason for us to kiss, and right in front of my house?
I jumped in fright and soon Alistair looked annoyed. Then he turned slowly to fight whoever had interrupted us, but I already knew it was Nicholas, as I was facing him.
"You!" Nicholas and Alistair both said irritated and in a jealous voice. I think the truce between them was about to end.
Alistair rose and stood intimidatingly. He was a little taller and stronger than Nicholas, but Nicholas was not intimidated by Alistair's stance and faced him.
"You always have to screw it up!" Alistair told
