Ygritte’s POV
I stared at Apotech and felt bad for him. I did an attempt, one that although I know was hopeless, I still tried to pull, in order to see if he can remember anything at all. However, it seems that his memory was totally erased. Lyn is right. He cannot remember me or the world where he came from anymore. I smiled bitterly, but I can feel something different. The pain is not that strong anymore. I nodded in recognition of what I feel. This is positive. It only means that I am moving on.
I stared at his bowed head. He looks regretful of what he has done. I smiled. He never changed. He’s still that ethical doctor I met after all. He feels so guilty of something that he did to protect me.
