LEANDER'S POV "She’s really something, isn’t she?" Orion’s voice stirred gently in my head as I walked away from Kaia. "That she is," I agreed, my chest tightening a little with emotions. Sometimes I think she doesn’t even realize it. She doesn't realize just how amazing she is. "She doesn’t," Orion rumbled, sounding almost amused. "But we do. That’s what matters." I let out a small breath, feeling the quiet ache she always left behind whenever she walked away. I sighed, forcing my feet to keep moving toward Athena’s place. The path felt longer than usual, my thoughts drifting back and forth between Kaia, my friends waiting in town, and everything I had to face today, and most probably for the rest of my life.
