KAIA'S POV My footsteps sounded loud on Athena’s wooden floor as I paced back and forth. After the very unpleasant meeting with Gareth, I had gone back to the training ground hoping to at least engage in the one thing in all of creation that had the power to lift my mood and help take my mind off things. But then Mia sent me right back just like yesterday, insisting I wasn't allowed to join any form of training activity until my arm was completely healed.
