SILVER'S POV Kaia had fallen asleep on me. At first, I wasn’t sure if I should move. I sat there, cradling her gently in my arms, and just watched her sleep. Her breath was steady, her features relaxed in a way I rarely saw. The ever-vigilant warrior was at rest for once. And she seemed really tired—so much so that I couldn't help but wonder when last she slept well. I hesitated. Should I wake her? Would she be able to go back to sleep if I did?
