KAIA'S POV I watched as the male warriors dragged the three men in black from the edge of the woods. They were forced down on their knees in a line, dirt smearing their clothes and blood dripping from cuts where they’d been caught. Their masks had been ripped off, revealing hard, angry faces and eyes that glared at everyone around them like we were the ones who had something to explain. Elias stepped forward, glaring down at the men. As head of the male warriors, he looked calm, but I could see the tension in his shoulders. His voice was low, but it carried across the whole training ground. “Who sent you?” he demanded. They didn’t answer. One of them snorted, blood dripping from his lip, and spat at the ground near Elias’s shoes. Elias’s jaw tightened. “Answer me.” The man sneered.
