KAIA’S POV The sun had just started to rise, but the training field was already full of movement and noise. “Keep your stance low!” I shouted as I walked between two rows of female trainees practicing their moves. “Don’t lift your chin unless you want to get knocked out.” One of the new trainees flinched, and her partner took the chance to strike. They both fell to the ground with a loud thud and a puff of dust. I sighed and rolled my eyes in frustration as I blew my whistle. “Get up and do it again. This time, with some backbone!” Some of the girls groaned, but I ignored them. They were improving, little by little. But I wasn’t going to go easy on them.
