KAIA’S POV I stepped out of the pack house, my thoughts still tangled in confusion as I made my way toward the training ground. My gut told me exactly where Leander would be, and sure enough, there he was—sitting cross-legged on the grass with his phone in his hand, showing the guys martial arts videos. The guys laughed so hard their voices carried across the clearing. Seeing him relaxed, smiling like that, made my chest ache. I couldn’t help the small warmth that spread through me despite the knot of worry still clinging to my stomach. “See? The problem with you guys is that you’re all too lazy around here sometimes.
