LEANDER’S POV The morning sunlight streamed in through the window as I zipped up my hoodie slowly, careful not to stretch too hard. My back was still sore, and I had a lot of bruises from the accident. But at least I was standing on my own two feet. My thoughts drifted back to Harold and the discovery I made last night. Actually, scratch that—I hadn’t stopped thinking about it since last night. He was here. In Moonveil. Sleeping under the same roof as Dawn and Dr. Grayson—the same family that took me in when I needed help the most. They said they’d known him for years. That he was an old friend. Loyal. Dependable. All of that. Someone who’d helped the pack more than once. But no matter how many ways I tried to convince myself they might be right, I couldn’t unsee what I remembered
