KAIA'S POV The rest of the day disappeared in a blur. I stayed at Athena’s until late afternoon, helping her sort through herbs, copying down her notes, and running back and forth for whatever she needed. After that, I was buried under a mountain of errands that had been piling up for days—messages to deliver, supplies to pick up, questions to answer. It felt like every person in the pack had something they needed me to do, which didn't even make sense, seeing as I wasn't even anybody's slave.
