I let out a shaky sigh and nodded, even though I was anything but okay. “If you say so,” I whispered, my voice sounding smaller than I meant it to.
“Yes, I do say so,” Athena replied gently. She took my hand and gave a soft squeeze, the warmth of her making me feel a little better. “Kaia, you need to let go of all those negative thoughts. Focus on what really matters right now.”
