LYRA'S POV “I'll need you to work an extra hour tonight, we're having a good rush of customers and we will need all hands on deck. Do you understand?” I nodded obediently to Alpha Corvin even as my fist clenched beneath the counter. He had been more or less ignoring me and my existence as if he actually succeeded in killing me that day in the storage room. Now he had approached me out of the blue just to tell me that I would have to work over time. At least he had the decency to inform me beforehand but he actually waited for me to look forward to the closing minutes only to tell me that there was one more hour left to wait.
