I was so relieved to see that she had woken up. We talked for a bit before she eventually dozed back into sleep.
These past days and a half have been the most torturous for me in my entire life. When I went to Clawfire, it was with no other intention rather than just to wait for her until it was her closing hour, considering that she was working an extra shift and it would be lazy into the night before she left.
In all the millions of scenarios that I could have walked into, the last one that would have ever crossed my mind was my son assaulting Lyra.
