Working in the kitchen had not been as bad as I had expected. The people were friendly, and were more than understanding of my clumsiness, especially when they realized the cooking abilities I had developed over the years preparing meals for my father and brother. That alone, seemed to mean they were willing to forgive the clumsiness, or at least for today they appeared to be. How long that would last, I did not know.
