Veronica looked out of her bedroom window at the sun shining outside. Everything had been resolved days ago. Her father was no longer debilitated as before, and her uncle was discharged from the hospital and transferred to a psychiatric clinic. He had been diagnosed with a mental disorder and for that reason would not suffer punishment for being an accomplice to the k********g. Veronica preferred it that way. She didn"t want to see her uncle locked up. Even the one who gave her life, her mother, would not be at all pleasant to see behind bars. But that probably wouldn"t happen either.
