'Elise, can you hear me?' Damien muttered over the phone.
'You've been recently involved in a scandal. I don't think that it would be great for my reputation if I'm seen with you,' I said, attempting to evade his invitation.
'Haven't you seen the trending video on the internet?' He asked, sounding a bit happy. 'I have been proven innocent and you of all people should know that I am not that kind of person,'
'You're not?' I faked a laugh.
'I hurt you and I've been admitting my mistake. But you shouldn't think that I would go to such horrible lengths, you know that I'm not that bad.' He uttered in his defense.
He was sort of right. I was simply blinded by my thirst for revenge, and I didn't think things through before acting.
