Deeper into the mystery—Ryn deciphers the scroll and a new threat appear --- Chapter 3 – Ryn's fingers moved over the scroll, eyes flicking across the ancient sky-glyphs like she could read a language Kael didn't even know existed. "These symbols shouldn't be here," she muttered. "They're from before the Collapse. Before the Crimson Eye rewrote history." She looked up. "Do you know what this is?" Kael shook his head. "A map?" Ryn’s lips pressed into a thin line. “Not just a map. It’s a pathway. This points to a location where the Fire Sky first broke open. A place the Eye tried to erase.” Kael leaned in. The markings pulsed softly, the same eerie rhythm as the burn in his chest. Then the lights flickered. A low rumble echoed through the hideout. A warning sensor blinked red on the far wall. Ryn stiffened. “That’s a proximity alarm.” Kael grabbed his staff-blade and ran to the monitor. A dark shape hovered in the mist outside. Sleek, angular, and humming with power. An Imperial scout glider. “Crimson Eye found us,” Ryn whispered. Kael’s mouth went dry. “Already?” Ryn didn’t answer. She hit the comm switch. “You bought yourself a death sentence, Kael. I hope it was worth it.” And then the first shot ripped through the ceiling. ---
