The joy that seems to bring sorrow

After Lucy was born John and Mara was so happy,the couple put in their best to give Lucy a better life even though they were not wealth but they did all in their power to make sure the feed well. John work harder in his farm, produce more yam to sell just to provide for his family. Lucy was just a year when the worst happened, John die on his way while coming back from the site which was sold to him to do more cultivation of yams. it was a great shock to mara, the poor widow cried all alone imagining her life without her husband and how she could train the child all alone. yes the birth of Lucy was a good news but the sad and shocking news of the death of his father make the people say it was a joy that brought sorrow.Few years pass and the poor widow Mara decided to take it upon herself to give Lucy her best life but life was not easy with her. she walked so hard she took over her husband's land and started the family business she grew some yam but yet it was never compare to the effort of a man. Lucy was growing to be a beautiful and elegant girl which was not dependent, she saw her Mom suffer,cry and work tiredlessly to put food on table she saw how people without money we're treated like trash and she made a bold decision within herself I will never be poor no matter what.
