Chapter 25“Are you all right?” Tommy asked as we helped each other up a staircase that wasn’t as narrow as the one I’d descended earlier. “This way.” He was familiar with the house, and I was willing to let him show me the way. “Roddy?” I’d been hoping he hadn’t noticed my lack of response to his question.
