Still Adrian's Pov
My eyes bore hole at Toby's back as he silently made his way to Cara's room, abandoning me to my mom's wrath. I stood there frozen for some minutes, standing so still you'll think I was made of stone.
"Am waiting Adrian, start talking." Mom yelled in a firm tone that sounds too dangerous to ignore.
"Mom... Can you please calm down and listen to me. You know I wouldn't disregard and disrespect your privacy if I didn't have a good reason. I just need you to calm down and listen to me mom. I have an explanation for all this, I promise." I am using my best baby voice and am trying so hard to keep appease her with my best baby look.
