Peppy took up residence in Brook Cottage just three days later. She had cleared her sabbatical with her boss and had returned to Appleton Vale armed with a detailed media strategy that would see Sebastian, Georgiana and Dan fronting a high-profile campaign.
“Peppy?” Tom was at her front door. “I’m Tom Feltham. I own the pub with my wife, Susie. Olivia said you’d be arriving today.”
Peppy bounced over and embraced Tom. “Delighted to meet you. I’ll be frequenting your establishment,” she grinned. “I can’t cook, I like a drink, and I hate to be alone so you’ll be seeing a lot of me.”
“Well, that’s just excellent news,” Tom beamed. “Sebastian said you’re leading the publicity charge?”
“Can’t wait to get started,” Peppy grinned. “It’s a nice change from being stuck in the studio
