CHAPTER 53
St Saviour’s church was packed to the rafters when the family and friends of Sebastian and Olivia gathered to celebrate Alexander’s christening. While neither really believed in God, they had bowed to the wishes of Hattie, and Olivia’s parents.
José and Angelica stood proudly holding Alexander, whilst Kev the Rev gave a rambling sermon on the virtues of children. Alexander began to scream at the top of his lungs and Rosie Feltham joined in almost immediately. Five-year-old Teddy Jenner had been given a homemade catapult by his grandfather, and began shooting an undisclosed packet of bon bons at the congregation.
“Virtues of children, eh?” Sebastian whispered.
“Ouch!” Olivia rubbed the back of her leg. She turned and glared at Teddy, who giggled and ducked behind Andrea.
