CHAPTER 31
As Georgiana and Dan touched down at the private airfield near Bath, Camilla received the news of her father’s death from the embassy aide sent to bring her home.
Just as Camilla was boarding the plane to London, Sebastian received the call from Richie he had been waiting for.
“He didn’t sign the contracts,” Richie said.
“f**k,” Sebastian growled. “That’s opened the door for Athos now. Camilla won’t care about sentiment or Edward’s wishes. She’ll go with the highest bidder.”
“Nothing we can do about it now. It’ll have to go through probate before any sale can happen,” Richie replied.
“Stupid old fool,” Sebastian muttered. “He never did anything quickly.”
An hour later Georgiana burst into the Manor with Dan following closely behind. She looked dreadful.
