Dan flew through the night and arrived in New York early the next morning. He went straight to The Plaza, where Georgiana was waiting.
“Hey,” he smiled when she opened the door.
She threw herself into his arms. “I told you the truth,” she mumbled.
Dan kissed her and held her close for a moment before he spoke.
“I know you did. You hate liars, so you’d hardly be telling me porkies, would you? I just got a touch of the green-eyed monster when I saw you standing next to him and acted a little irrationally.”
“A little?” Georgiana giggled. “You jumped on a private jet and flew all night to get to me.”
