The day before the wedding the village was teeming with reporters and news crews desperate for a glimpse of Georgiana and Dan and their celebrity guests.
No-one knew exactly who would be turning up in Appleton Vale but several names had been touted in the morning newspapers: José de Silva, Gregor Balatov, Ory Hazzard and a handful of other big names from the golfing world; Georgiana’s BBC colleagues Clare Balding, Sue Barker, Ed Leigh, Graham Bell and Gabby Logan, and Dan’s Hollywood friends Leonardo DiCaprio, Ryan Gosling, Jack Black, and Emily Blunt.
