CHAPTER 75 Susie was at the Club finalising the new pub menu with Chef Bernard when she spotted Lucinda walking into the lounge. “I’ll just be a minute, Chef.” She made a bee-line for her table. “All alone, Lucinda?” Susie asked. “Yes, just little old me,” she replied. “I have a few emails to catch up on and Godfrey is driving me insane. I just had to get out of the house.” “May I?” Susie indicated to a chair. Lucinda glared at her. “If you must. I’m assuming you have something relevant to say, or at least interesting.” Susie smiled through gritted teeth. “Just a little catch-up to see how you’re getting on with the RFC stuff we gave you to do.
