CHAPTER 75
Susie was at the Club finalising the new pub menu with Chef Bernard when she spotted Lucinda walking into the lounge. “I’ll just be a minute, Chef.” She made a bee-line for her table.
“All alone, Lucinda?” Susie asked.
“Yes, just little old me,” she replied. “I have a few emails to catch up on and Godfrey is driving me insane. I just had to get out of the house.”
“May I?” Susie indicated to a chair.
Lucinda glared at her. “If you must. I’m assuming you have something relevant to say, or at least interesting.”
Susie smiled through gritted teeth. “Just a little catch-up to see how you’re getting on with the RFC stuff we gave you to do. Haven’t seen anything in the way of meeting minutes or collated reports, which is what you said you’d do.”
