CHAPTER 43 The last Saturday in August was Lady Captain’s day at The Riverside. It consisted of eighteen holes of golf under tournament rules, followed by a gourmet dinner and fashion show. Lucinda, in her capacity as Lady Captain, had been planning her day for many months and she was determined it would go off without a hitch.
