Eleanor Charles
He doesn't answer my question. I don't even know how to feel anymore. Should I be scared that he hasn't killed me yet?
I flop on the bed and bounce a bit, spreading my arms out so I can feel the soft satin.
Despite being kidn*pped, because let's face it, It is a*******n. I can't help but admire this place.
You know, you'd always imagine that if, by any chance, you got abducted, you'd be held hostage in an abandoned building. This is far from it.
This room is wide enough to fit my whole apartment. Add to the fact that I have two roommates who really don't give a s**t about me. To be fair, we don't get along so well. I tried to be friendly, but they were too obnoxious for my liking.
I was planning to leave next month when my lease was up and get my own place.
At least I don't have to house hunt again. Big room, free food, no rent. Who am I to refuse?
Even if there's a death penalty attached to it, I'll die happy. I guess.
I go to the bathroom and take a long hot shower. My mind keeps going to the gruesome scene at the hospital. You'd think after all the deaths I've witnessed as a nurse, I'd be okay. Heck, I watched my father get murdered. I should be okay.
But I'm not. I feel this darkness looming over me. Like I'm in a race against time, and death would soon catch up to me.
I wrap the soft towel around me, letting it somewhat comfort me. I put on a floral dress and leave my curls loose before admiring myself in the mirror.
I look just like my mother . Except for the hair and eyes. I haven't allowed myself to think about her since she never does think about me. She left, leaving her only daughter to jump from orphanage to orphanage. She left me to navigate my dad's death alone. I was just eight.
Taking a deep breath, I shake my head to clear my sad thoughts. Maybe food would get me out of this funk. Preparing to head downstairs, I search for my phone. Nowhere to be seen.
Not only is that asshole holding me against my will, but he stole my phone too. A murderer and a thief, lucky me.
