*Chapter 1: Three Mouths, No Village* BEING A SINGLE MOM IS HARD. THREE CHILDREN. NO HELP. DOUBLE ROLES. BUT I NEVER QUIT. They say it takes a village to raise a child. But my village chased me away. I gave birth to three children. I thought I had love. I thought I had a home. But the men lied. Some scammed me. Took my money, my trust, and left. When I had nothing, I went back to my parents. I thought family would hold me. Instead they pushed me away. "You brought this on yourself," they said. So I left with a baby on my back, a toddler holding my wrapper, and another one crying in my arms. No money. No food. Just prayer. Some days I sold clothes by the roadside. Other days I told people I had land to sell, hoping for just one commission to buy rice. People laughed. "A woman with 3 kids selling land?" I smiled anyway. Because my children were watching me. I cried in the bathroom with the shower on, so they wouldn't hear me. Then I wiped my face and went back out. I am tired, but I am strong. I raised my children with love and prayers .
