“Tessa, I’m talking to you. Is this true?” Lucian faced me for answers.
My eyes roamed around, avoiding his gaze. “Yes, it’s true,” I admitted.
“Ahah! You can’t deny it now!” Tori shouted, practically leaping for joy.
Lucian sighed disappointedly and came closer. “Why didn’t you say anything before?” His face spawned with betrayal. “You watched me defend you knowing that you actually did it?”
I held onto his shirt. “Lucian I promise you, I didn’t take the necklace.” My eyes begged for him to believe me, but the firm belief in me that formerly held his shoulders up had slumped down now.
