How could he have mistakenly kissed her,his.friend for Christ sake and not just any friend but his best friend for crying out loud?

Are you alright Isabelle? He asked when she came out of the ladies but seem lost in thought.

Yeah am so okay to say my best friend kissed me a minute or so ago and now trying to act as if nothing happened. She said in anger storming towards the exit door.

Isabelle wait! He said but she acted as if she didn't hear any of it.

Why the hell are you angry for crying out loud? He shouted which made her paused then faced him with a frank face.

I am angry with you because you are about to ruin our three years' friendship. She shouted then burst into tears

was she angry at him for kissing her or was she angry at herself for leaning into the kiss and almost forgetting they are friends?

does she feel anything love towards Nick and has been trying to cover it up with friendship facade?

all these questions and more kept roaming in her mind but no one to give an answer to any of them.

Isabelle I am so sorry I didn't mean to kiss you, we were all just emotional and looking at the couples sitting beside us kissing and cuddling in the theatre room and that was what made me so lost that I didn't realize i was kissing you.

You shouldn't have or don't you know. She said finally realizing she was mad at herself for kissing him back and now the fear of losing her friend hit her so hard she fought to breathe

But I thought you liked it and wanted it too. He countered

I...I didn't want to kiss you but I didn't want you to feel bad either. She lied

Hmm really? And why would I feel bad if you refused to kiss me? He asked

Well you might have thought I don't like you enough to kiss you. She said

So you are telling me now that you kissed me just because you didn't want me to feel bad huh? He asked moving closer to her.

Nick! What are you doing? She asked when she saw him move even closer than before and her heart race picked at the very place it stopped

What does it look like Bella? He asked as he lifted her chin up and stared into her eyes

Seems like you are about to kiss me. She said sounding like she could care less but she silently prayed he would kiss her again and make her feel what she felt in her tummy the first their lips touched which was why she returned his kissed.
