For a moment, Anton said nothing. He just stared at her, letting the weight of her words settle in his chest before his face returned to its usual cold, cruel expression and he stepped back. "Guards, take her back to the cell. Now." His voice was sharp, furious enough to kill anyone who dared question him. And he was furious. The rejection left a bitter taste in his mouth, and the way Selene had spoken didn’t just wound his heart, it tore at his ego and pride. The men dragged Selene away, hauling her back to the slave wing beneath the castle. When they threw her into the cell, Lyria was still there. The sisters clung to each other tightly, hiding in one another's arms. "Are you okay? Did they hurt you?" Lyria asked, checking her for any new bruises. "I thought I’d never see you again," Lyria whispered, sobbing as she held her tight. They didn’t know when the nightmare would end, but at least they were together again. Upstairs, in the bedroom, Anton paced back and forth until he stopped abruptly, body rigid with tension. "Emma!" he shouted, and within seconds, the slave handler entered the room and bowed. "My lord, how can I be of service?" "From now on, she’s to be trained only by the best," Anton said, voice loud and firm, his eyes locked on the handler. "I want her prepared to serve... without bruises, without scars, not a single scratch." Emma bowed low, not daring to argue, though she was clearly furious that she wouldn’t be allowed to break Selene’s pride herself. "Clean one of the noble wing rooms. She doesn’t belong with the dogs anymore." *** Less than an hour later, the guards opened the cell where Selene was sitting beside her sister. Anton appeared in the corridor, imposing, surrounded by soldiers. Everyone looked surprised, he didn’t usually come down to what he called "the dog wing." "Take her." Selene stood up slowly but didn’t back down. When the men stepped in, she placed herself in front of Lyria, growling. "Not without my sister!" she shouted. "I’M NOT GOING WITHOUT HER!" "Don’t you dare defy me, slave," the Alpha warned, his eyes flashing. "You belong to me now." The soldiers were stunned. Anyone else who had shouted like that at the Alpha would’ve had their tongue ripped out. So why wasn’t Anton doing anything? "THEN KILL ME! BUT I’M NOT LEAVING WITHOUT HER!" Her scream echoed, full of desperation, but also of a growing, burning courage. Anton took a long breath. For a moment, it looked like he was about to order both of them bound and dragged out, but then he raised his hand, signaling the soldiers to stop. "Take the sister too. But one wrong word, and she goes back with the dogs. Understood?" He stared at Selene, who said nothing, but kept her head high and her gaze steady. "Defiant little brat," the Alpha muttered, turning his back and walking away. The soldiers followed, dragging the two women up the stairs and through the corridors, leading them into the noble wing—in full view of the guards, the staff, and, most importantly, of Saphira, who stood at the top of a staircase that led to the Luna’s exclusive quarters, surrounded by her handmaidens. As she watched Selene being led through the noble halls, barely dressed, Saphira growled under her breath, furious. "I’ll put an end to this," she thought, turning on her heel and marching toward a group of soldiers. *** The room was large, warm, and full of tapestries. Selene didn’t care about luxury. She didn’t want feather pillows or bathtubs filled with petals. She just wanted Lyria safe. Nothing more. They were dumped in the room without another word from the Alpha or his men. Later, a servant entered with a single dress, handed it to Lyria, who was still naked, and left without speaking. "What’s happening, sister?" the younger girl whispered through sniffles. "Why are we here?" "I don’t know... I don’t know..." she lied. Selene knew exactly why they were there. Anton wanted her. Because they were mates. But her sister didn’t need to hear that insanity. She kept it to herself, that burden would be hers alone to carry. They hadn’t been there long when Anton returned, this time accompanied by two stunning women. Perfect curves. Sweet scent. Eyes low and submissive. Lyria shrank when she saw him, but Selene kept her chin high, meeting his eyes. "This is Rina and Velora," he said. "My favorite slaves. The best. They’re going to teach you how to please me." Selene crossed her arms. "Keep dreaming." Anton stepped closer, his gaze firm. "You still don’t understand where you are, do you? This castle is mine. These walls are mine. The air you breathe... is mine. And you belong to me too." Then he turned to Lyria, who was watching the scene wide-eyed, curled near one of the beds. "Be obedient. Or you know who’ll pay the price." He turned back to the women. "Take her to the Red Room." *** The place smelled of something sweet Selene couldn’t name, but it relaxed her body, calmed her mind, and made her skin tingle. Everything was painted in deep wine and scarlet tones, pillows, chains on the walls, a leather chair in the center, and strange objects she didn’t understand but instinctively knew their purpose. A bed stood farther from the door, covered in the finest sheets. Anton sat in the chair like an emperor waiting for his tribute. "Come," he said, pointing at her. Rina was the first to climb onto his lap, slowly unbuttoning his shirt. Velora knelt in front of him, her fingers trailing along his thighs like mapping uncharted territory. Selene stood still, frozen, watching as they touched him with practiced sensuality. Rina kissed his neck, Velora ran her tongue down his torso, stopping just above his waistband. "He likes it like this," Rina whispered. "Slow, with lots of mouth." Anton didn’t take his eyes off Selene. Not even with two experienced women pleasuring him. His desire was all for her. "Come, you’ll enjoy it... The Alpha is very good at what he does," Rina coaxed, guiding her. "Touch him. Here..." She grabbed Selene’s hand and tried to place it over the visible bulge in his pants, but Selene yanked her hand back and shoved Rina away. "Get your filthy hands off me! I’m not like you!" Anton stood up, irritated, but careful not to hurt the women who had been serving him. They stepped back slowly, without fear. He crossed the room in seconds and grabbed Selene by the hair, yanking hard. "You’ll learn, even if it takes time," he growled, pressing his body against hers. Her scent was driving him insane, making his c**k throb in his pants. Why did she have to be so stubborn? He was offering her more than any slave could ever dream of. Why couldn’t she just accept? "You’ll beg me to f**k you, Selene." She gave him a bitter smile. "Then do it. Take me like an animal. Like the monster you are. I’m already here, naked. Isn’t that what you want?" Anton froze. His chest rose and fell, seething with rage... and frustration. Those words again. That look again. Like he was just going to take what he wanted. He let her go. "I’m not a rapist." "But you’re a kidnapper. A torturer. A murderer. Lovely morals for someone like you." Rina and Velora exchanged a glance, surprised at Selene’s boldness, but remained still, waiting for a command. Anton ran a hand through his hair, still holding a fistful of hers, before pushing her away. "You. Take her back to her room. We’ll try again tomorrow." The two women nodded silently and gently took Selene by the arms, guiding her out. "You’re completely insane, girl," Velora said as they walked down the halls. "Stop being an i***t. The position he’s giving you is the best you’ll ever get here." "If you don’t want to die, you’d better start using your head. None of us asked the goddess for this life, but it doesn’t have to be hell if you learn to play smart." Their voices were low, whispers only Selene could hear. But the wolf inside her was still furious, sulking. "You don’t understand. You never will." "We had lives before this too. So yeah, we do understand," Velora replied as they reached her room. "I hope you listen. Do better next time." They left as soon as she entered, heart pounding, body still tingling. She expected to find her sister inside. But strangely... the room was empty. "Lyria?" she called. "Lyria?!" Panic gripped her chest. Selene ran through the room, checking under beds, in the bathroom, everywhere. "LYRIA!"
