Chapter Nineteen

A knock came stirring Alistair awake but Lilith was still sound asleep. He chuckled to himself as he gently got up without waking her. As he grabbed a robe, he opened the door and Evelynn was there smiling with pride while she had food for them. “I brought dinner, and we have rescheduled the pack initiation to be held at the end of the week. Notices have been sent out, so you two may relax, and get used to your new home. How is she doing?”

Lilith is doing better, but what she said concerns me. May I ask you to gather everyone to the conference room? I do not wish to keep anything from the family. “Thank you, Alistair. I will have Bella mind link you once we have all gathered. Make sure to eat, and shower before you come downstairs.” She left chuckling making Alistair feel awkward. Lilith, darling… dinner is ready, your mother brought you up some tea. “A few more moments…” Haha, come on sleeping beauty. We have to eat, shower and head downstairs to meet with your family. Lilith makes her signature pouting face asking why. Alistair picks up the tray of food and places it on the bed for her to start eating.  

(Liliths POV)

As I finish up my breakfast with Alistair, I cannot help but smile watching him enjoy every single bite of food. Ali, I do not think I will ever get tired of watching you eat and enjoy things that you could not normally do. He begins chuckling, “let us jump in the shower darling. Bella said they’re ready for us.” Haha, you got Alpha, I plant a kiss on his lips licking the juices from the strawberries off of them. I hear a low seductive growl. Alistair, why did you say your wolfs name was Ulrick and now his name is Aether? “You know, I never gave that much thought? I do not know to be honest…”

Aether was trying to come forward but he could not break the seal.

What do you mean, Gaia?

Your first shift was a normal wolf but are second shift broke the seal binding us. Aether had no choice after he witnessed our second shift, he forced his way to surface breaking the seal.

Interesting, did you find any memories regarding Aether?

No, I believe the moon goddess created him just for us. An equal, an Alpha to support his Luna.

Thank you, Gaia, I will tell him.

“I’m guessing you had a conversation with Gaia?” I did, let us jump in the shower and I will tell you. After a while and I finished explaining what Gaia told me, we both receive mind links from our family saying it has been 15 minutes. Whatever you’re doing it can wait!”

We both get dressed in a hurry and rush downstairs, and into the conference room my family is waiting. Thank you all for waiting so patiently, as you all know you Alistair does not wish for us to keep anything from you. I had a strange dream, that lead into a nightmare. I see my mother’s face turn pale, and I continue telling them what happened in my dream, eventually telling them how it turned into a nightmare.

“Well, well, well… it seems you had a premonition child.”

Ishtar! Please stop sneaking up on us-

“My dear sweet child, I work in mysterious ways, haha. Charles Connor, you say? Interesting, he is a long last relative but by no means a cousin as he claimed in the dream. Interesting that I intervened to check the gift…”

Yes, you two had quite the stare down before I found myself in a pitch-black cold room with screams coming in every direction.

“Whoever this man claims to be must be using dark magic and taken on the identity of your relative. All the more reason to have more guards posted this weekend for the ceremony. Bella, summon your coven, Vincent summon your finest warrior, no need to use magic to mask their scent. I want every guest to know that the Nightingale pack has allies that one would only dream of.”

Nightingale pack?! My family exclaimed. Surprise? I look at my family who who are upset that I did not consult them on my pack name. Alexander stands up, “this is her pack, and she is now Luna. Lilith Blackhart of Nightingale Pack.” He begins clapping as everyone else joins in, but my family is somewhat reluctant. Thank you, Alex, I appreciate it. Where are with the preparations for the ceremony?

“I have taken care of everything child with the help of your pack and family. We have three days, so I recommend taking this time to spend it with your loved ones and maybe say a few encouraging words to your pack tonight with your Alpha.” Thank you, Ishtar, I will do that. As soon as I finish that sentence, I felt extremely nauseous, and run to the trash can and threw up my breakfast. My mothers and Bella runs over to see if I am alright when suddenly a new guest appeared.

The goddess with three heads on her helmet. Step aside! As she took her torch like staff and hit the ground making everyone move. I begin coughing up blood as she approaches me and passes her hand over my stomach. “This is dark magic; you have a traitor amongst your new pack! Ishtar hunt them down and bring them to me, now!” Her voice echoed as my family begin crying and praying to the moon goddess. I scream and writhe in pain, as she begins to chant and pull herbs out of her bag, forcing them down my throat. Her hands are so warm, Alistair is on the verge of shifting but Alex is holding him back. Once the traitor has been found, Ishtar teleports her back into the conference room. Hekate grabs her by the throat and raises her in the air.

DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM.

I-I- I do, mother. The traitor says while gasping for air.

WHO SENT YOU?!

The young woman begins coughing as her airways are being crushed. I… w-was sent by… The dark witch begins to lose consciousness as Hekate throws her against the wall. She takes her torch like staff and places the end of it on her forehead. Reveal your secrets. The torch lights up the room like it was a projector. Replaying the dark witches’ memories, until it stopped on a mysterious figure, by the looks of his body shape it is man. His face is covered by a hood, but his voice sent shivers down Alistairs spine, Gaia went into full panic mode, and I began to shift.

AHHHHH!

Ishtar tries to calm me down, but Gaia will not listen, and I feel myself slipping into the darkness.

I KILLED HIM! I KILLED HIM WITH A SPELL YOUR COVEN TAUGHT ME HEKATE!  WHY IS HE STILL BREATHING?!

Gaia slowly stalks Hekate but she does not move, her helmet with three faces follows Gaia’s moves, studying her, and anticipating what the Queen of the wolves will do.

“My dear child, the spell was enough to obliterate him and send him to the deepest pts of hell with his army. Vladimir Antonov had help, and I will not rest until his helper has answered for his crimes!”

FIND HIM OR HER AND BRING THEM TO ME, NOW!

Gaia picks up the unconscious dark witch and slowly opens her snout and places her throat in it until Lilith’s mother scream out. “Do not do this, Gaia! Let her receive her punishment from the mother of witches, please do not make my daughter a murderer!” Gaia seems hurt by this and drops the witch, Gaia watches Hekate as she grabs the witch by the hair and disappears with her.

Evelynn walks over to Gaia and she places her arms around the Lycans huge body and hugs her tightly. It is time to rest now Gaia, it’s time to sleep. She begins singing a lullaby that Lilith loved as a child and soon enough Gaia slowly shifts back revealing an unconscious Lilith. “Alistair take my daughter to your room, Cynthia, summon guards, I want my daughter watched around the clock! Bella and Vincent, we need your covens, the sooner they get here the better. I will arrange everything along with the help of the Betas and female Gama.”
