After dropping Bart off, at Reggie and Narla’s place, Hamish spoke with his mate's twin and former Alpha.
“I want him treated with respect. Not a hair on his head is to be harmed. Can you do that?” the prince asked.
“I promise nobody will hurt Bart. I know this is a difficult situation, so I am asking him to stay here with Reggie, to avoid any unpleasantness with the original pack members,” Mars nodded.
“That is good enough for me. Are you happy Bart?” the prince asked.
“I do not deserve any kindness. I know that. I appreciate your protection, even though I do not deserve it,” Bart spoke directly to Mars.
“Don’t let me down,” Mars simply responded, his emotions conflicting for the man he once thought of as a friend.
