Slasher glanced down at Roma, a furrow on his brow, as the she-wolf began to shake. A film of sweat formed on her soft skin, as she gasped for air, blinking her eyes open and closed, a look of disbelief on her face. Internally the Assassin’s mate begun to build up the wall of protection that had recently fallen, due to the acceptance of her mate and the royals, along with the therapy she had participated in with Cheryl. She had been a fool to believe she was safe. That nobody could hurt her again. She had let her guard down, and now she was standing face to face with the evil Alpha bastard who had taken her innocence when she was just a child.
