Chapter Forty-Eight. What Is Going On Here?
DJ Doug sat behind his decks, staring out at the almost empty bar. It was the quiet before the storm, only the hardened gamblers were in the casino, and the working girls were milling around, grabbing a drink or four, along with whatever substance would help them get through the night, when the door opened.
A man and a she-wolf entered the shifter bar, and the DJ raised an eyebrow, wondering exactly who they were. He had seen the man before, but he was not what you would call a regular, and was not important enough to have earned himself one of the DJ’s infamous nicknames. Seeing the she-wolf with legs up to her armpits, and boobs a man would happily die for, he pulled out an old vinal, blew off the dust, and placed it on the deck.
