Jacob walked into the office with Emily behind him. Dylan was on the phone and signalled for them to remain silent.
Emily desperately wanted to know what had happened, but she had no choice but to wait.
Dylan hung up a few minutes later and waved a hand at her. "Come here."
Emily walked over and stopped in front of his desk.
"Give me your phone." Dylan held out a hand.
Huh?
Her eyes widened. Wasn't he going to tell her what had happened? Why was he asking for her phone?

Jacob stood to one side and silently prayed for Brianna to quickly return. If she were to take any longer, Emily would probably take Dylan away from her.
