For the next two hours, all three of us hang out together at the fair. I have to say, it’s not half as bad to have company, especially when it comes from someone we’ve never met before. To be honest, I’ve almost forgotten this feeling— This feeling of excitement mixed with fear, and having that voice inside your head reminding you again and again: Are you sure this isn’t too crazy? But maybe crazy isn’t so bad. Zachary—that’s his name, by the way—fits in way too easily, like he’s always been part of our little world.
