WAKING WILD LYKAINA’S POV My body felt like it had been run over by a freight train and then backed over for good measure. Every muscle ached, my bones throbbed, and my skin burned like it was trying to peel itself off. I blinked, eyes gritty, and the world swam into focus, a dim room, painted in the colour of the forest, the faint scent of pine and something earthy, like wet soil after rain came in through the window behind me. I looked down and saw that I was covered in a flower-patterned duvet, very soft and comfortable. I must say, everything in the room screams luxury, it could give grandma's home a run for her money.
