Temperance felt a horrible cramp that started in her back and radiated into her stomach. Her first reaction was to yell for Rooster to come help her. He didn't want to be near her. No one knew what Temperance would do. Rooster ran out the door and tripped on his own feet. He started yelling," somebody help me, help me". I don't know what to do. Spider yelled back," go get the midwife". Rooster said what wife? I already have one and don’t want another. Temperance will kill me and her both. Spider laughed, as Rooster did not know what a midwife was. No, I do not know what you are talking about, but if I ever have two wives, just shoot me and get it over with. I have gone slam crazy. He shook his head and wondered how he could be so stupid.

Spider explained to Rooster that a midwife would help Temperance deliver the baby. Rooster said Lordy, we better go get that wife. Rooster ran behind Spider and got on a motorcycle. Temperance yelled in a loud desperate voice, Rooster, come help me! I need you now. It was the first time Temperance needed Rooster. She was always independent. Rooster ran into the room. He sat on the bed beside her and held her hand.

He felt Temperance squeeze his hand so hard that his hand hurt. Rooster heard Spider take the midwife into the house. The midwife was there. Rooster yelled," bring that wife here in a hurry. Hurry Temperance needs her now. Once the midwife entered the room, Temperance's water broke. Rooster yelled," Spider, come in here. There is water everywhere. It is all over my shoes. She just tinkled everywhere. Rooster had never seen a baby delivered before.

Rooster looked at Temperance. She was pushing hard. Her face was red, and she was holding her breath. The baby would arrive soon, the midwife said. When Rooster realized this, he fainted. Rooster awoke to the sound of the baby crying. Temperance was holding the baby in her arms. As she reached out to hand the baby to Rooster, he was terrified of holding her. She was tiny and fragile. His terror mounted with every inch he became closer to her. He did not want to hurt her.

Temperance stated I was going to name the baby Princess. Rooster disagreed and wanted to name the baby Angel. Temperance said this is my baby and I will name her what I want. It's not up to you. It's my baby, so her name will be Princess. You get it. Rooster shook his head, looked to the ceiling. He prayed she would not become like Temperance. Lord knows I can not handle two of them. I hope you threw away the mold when you made that one. She is a wildcat.

Temperance stated. I promise she will not be like you. You are hardheaded. But that’s alright because I will break that hard head. She is a Princess, not some nasty old party animal that spits tobacco all the time. One day I will straighten you out. I will teach you how to act like you have got a brain. Now I have a helper. How do you like those apples? She is Mama’s Princess and will never be yours. Have you ever heard of Mama Baby Daddy’s maybe? You just remember, being her father doesn’t mean anything to me. She is my Princess.

Rooster said Princess had better be my baby. I am her father and you need to get that through your thick head. You are a wildcat, but Princess will not be a devil’s child. She is going to love me and be daddy’s little girl. Temperance laughed and said Yeah right, you just keep thinking that’s going to happen. I will show you. Rooster said you better not teach my baby to be mean like you.

Princess can look like you. She had better never act like you. I will s***k her and teach her better. Rooster, If you ever lay one hand on my baby, I will kill you. How are you going to raise a child if you never s***k her? That’s what is wrong with you. Your daddy should have torn up that belt on your bottom. Temperance took off her socks and threw them at Rooster, and hit him in the head. You better be glad I don’t have my shoes on. Rooster said don’t throw your stinking socks at me. You mean wildcat.

Magnus plans a dinner party and invites two couples to meet Esmeralda. The couples are servants for Magnus and will do anything he asks. Stacy and Lisa pretend to be Esmeralda's best friends. Magnus wants her to believe they have been married for years. Magnus talks about their wedding day. How beautiful Esmeralda was in the wedding dress. Stacy and Lisa were her bridesmaids. Jim and Justice were the best men. It confused Esmeralda. She did not remember the wedding. The wedding sounded like a fairytale.

Magnus wanted her to believe they were married, so she would never leave him. The plan was working perfectly until Lisa asked her," Do you remember the dress the bridesmaid wore? Esmeralda said nothing. She did not want to hurt Magnus by not remembering the wedding. Lisa was trying to let Esmeralda know secretly there was no wedding.

Lisa wanted to help Esmeralda because she knew Magnus was holding her captive. The love between two people is magical if shared. Magnus was brainwashing Esmeralda and had recruited the couple to help him. Magnus was building a web of deceit. The bigger the web, it is more difficult to keep a secret. Lisa could not let Stacy know she was planning to help Esmeralda.

Lisa worked on building a close friendship with Esmeralda. Lisa would spend time with Esmeralda in the kitchen, drinking coffee. She wanted to provide Esmeralda with an escape from the bedroom. When Magnus was not with her, he would not let her in the bedroom. Magnus would lock her inside, and she could not leave. Magnus told her it was for her protection. She was not safe if he was not with her. He had people in the town that hated him. He did not want her hurt. Esmeralda spent most of her time with Magnus. She wanted a life of her own and Lisa was determined to help her. First she must gain her trust.

Lisa knew treating her like a best friend will help build the trust. Lisa started asking questions to find out who she was. Lisa was only allowed to the leave the mansion when she went grocery shopping. Lisa wanted to prepare a special dinner. She would be sent into town to buy the items for the dinner. This would give her an opportunity to ask the townspeople about her. While having a cup of coffee with Esmeralda, Lisa starting talking about food and what she loved to eat. During the converstation Esmeralda told her what she enjoyed eating. Lisa approached Magnus and made arrangements to prepare all of her favorite food. Magnus that it would help him. Esmeralda believed Magnus had the meal prepared as a special meal for her.
