Declan walked me a little way down the deserted street and turned to look down the road. “He’s coming, isn’t he?” I asked. “Yeah. He’s not far away. I’ll go this way and say that I missed the bus. You keep going towards the next human town. Stick to the forest on the side of the highway and be careful of wolves patrolling around this area. Ezra might have sent some people ahead to look for you.” He said. “I’ll be sure to stick near the highway and not go too far into the woods.” I said. “Go. He’s almost here.” Declan said. So I looked at him gratefully before I turned around and started running towards the forest. I didn’t stop either. I kept running as soon as I was in the forest and I didn’t stop until I could see the lights of the human town coming into view. I didn’t see
