“He hurt you.” Ezra said quietly.
“It’s not that bad.” I replied.
“It shouldn’t have happened at all.” He snapped.
The anger in his voice made the bond spike again. I could feel the protective instinct rolling off him so strongly that it almost made me dizzy. He finally looked up at me again.
“What else did he say?” Ezra asked.
I hesitated again. Ezra’s expression darkened.

I sighed and leaned back against the table behind me.
“He said I should leave.” I admitted and Ezra’s eyes flashed.

“He said if you mark me your reputation will be destroyed.” I continued quietly. “He said the pack will see you as weak.”
