The Kings Mate

Chapter 3

Xavier's POV 

right after school i got in my car and drove to Alex's house well let me be more specific its a castle. I already told her mother that I was coming over. See it's not weird that I go over there. It's actually pretty normal. I go over there a lot because of my father being the Alpha king and all. 

But most people don't know that we are that close because in school we have this love hate kind of relationship but normally we don't fight we get along really well actually. I think that the reason why we have a love hate relationship at school is so that no one thinks we are dating. you see it wouldn't be that bad for me she is hot as f**k. We also get shipped together a lot. We are the dream couple you could say. 

See I am the "player" of the school but out of school and when I am only around Alex I am a completely different person Alex on the other hand is the same but I know deep down that there is a completely different side of her but what is it? 

As I pulled up to the castle I grabbed my bag and got out and handed my keys to the person that was waiting for them I always forget his name after I said hello i was on my way into the castle see it's nothing new to me I live in one and I have been to this one many, many times.

I was walking to Alex's room when I saw Alex's mother we are so close I call her mom also but only when my parents are not around so I walked up to her 

"Hello" I said 

"Oh hello to you to Xavier I haven't seen you in awhile" Alex's mom said 

"Yeah I know its been awhile since I have came over last" I said 

"Yeah but I wish you would come over to see me and not Alex all the time" She said nudging my shoulder with a smirk on her lips 

"yeah maybe" I said 

"yes you should but I have to be on my way now see you soon" She said and then she was gone 

so I then made my way up to Alex's room see no one questioned me as because I used to come over here all the time when I was younger so that naturally made me and Alex closer I would be a lot closer with Zack if he would have came to the castle a lot more when he was younger he barley was here the only time he was here if his dad was here and he is not usually here as because he has a pack to run. So now Alex practically lives at the castle where as Zack lives at the Pack house. They are both training to be different things Alex is training to be the best witch and Zack is training to be the Alpha of the second largest pack.

When I got to Alex's room I put my bag on the ground and went on to her bed. Now that i think of it Alex's rooms at the castle and at the pack house are almost set up the same not exactly some stuff is a bit different but for the most part everything is the same. the same paint color the same bed frame, same dressers, same desk, and all of the polloridas were the same and in the same spots there's pictures of us together or her with her friends but like I said pretty much all the same. Just the quotes on her wall are a bit different, some of the decorations and her bedding so point blank there pretty much the same. 

I get pulled out of my thoughts as someone teleport into the room I look and it was just Alex but she was still turned around so he only logical thing to do is scare her 

"Hey Alex long time no see" I said and watched her jump and turn around I couldn't help myself but to smirk and her reaction it was priceless

"Xavier how many times do I have to tell you until it gets into that small head of yours not to scare me" Alex said and with every word she got closer to me and when she said head she hit my head like I am stupid or something 

"I'm sorry but I had to you were turned around and didn't notice me yet I couldn't hold back I'm sorry" I said with my head down let's just say this works all the time 

"It's fine Xavier" Alex said with a smile on her face but I could tell something was off see I am one of the only people that can tell when she is faking a smile she even her fake smiles go to her eyes there is no way of telling that she is upset when she smiles yet I can tell that there's something off. 

"What's wrong?" I asked with concern in my voice 

"Nothing" is all that Alex said 

"Hey, hey, hey don't lie to me Alex" I said looking her dead in the eyes I start to see the tears form but they are soon gone by Alex blanking 

After she was silent for a while I asked her "do you want to go shopping" I watched as her eyes lit up from the word shopping so I grabbed my keys out of my bag and made sure I had my wallet and then I pulled her up and we started to head out to my car. 

When we get to the car I let her play any song she wants and boy was I right that she was upset it was sad song after sad song with her just looking out the window 

See here's the thing Alex will make sure everyone else is happy and okay but she does not do that for herself so when ever she is sad and I am around I try and make sure she is happy like she does for everyone else the thing about her is that she will act like she is so happy but she isn't and I hate just sitting there and not being able to help her as because she doesn't like to open up at all.

Alex’s POV 

As I was in the car with Xavier I was looking out the car window I heard beeping and I look at where it was going from and I see A car coming at us from the other side of the road as I was about to yell something to Xavier but Xavier put his arm out in front of me and the next thing I know the car hits us and the Xaviers car flips in the air. When we land the car is upside down 

“How did the even happen” I asked Xavier 

“Good question I have no idea, are you hurt” Xavier asked 

“No I am fine how are you though is your arm good” I asked Xavier 

“Yeah I am good” Xavier said 

“Why did you put your arm in front of me” I asked 

“I put it there so you wouldn’t fly out of the car that would have been alot worse when we stood back up and also so you wouldn’t get hurt” he said 

“Aw thanks but we need to call our parents” I said as I reached for my phone and when I grabbed it If called my moms personal number when she answered I told her what happened and she already knew

I look at Xavier and ask “did you already tell someone” I asked knowing he probably did 

“Yeah I told my dad while we were in the air shhh stop talking someone is coming” Xavier said 

“Are you guys ok” some random person asked us 

Yeah it's not like I am upside down in a car that just got hit by another car wait I am so no I am not ok I so badly wanted to say but I didn’t get the chance to say it because Xavier said “yeah we are fine” while looking at me knowing what i was going to say I just rolled my eyes 

“So we are going to try to get you out now” he said again but I took a better look and he was a firefighter then more of them came to each side of the car to help get us out 

Someone opened the door some of them said princess or prince before they started to get us out I told Xavier “Move your arm it’s not keeping me in place and I have to get out” he did what I told him to and we were both taken out of the car and put in the same ambulance which we both knew was not an ambulance.
