June’s Point of View
“Urgh…”
A groan slipped past my lips as a sharp pain shot through my head. My entire body felt like lead, heavy and weak. My eyelids resisted me as I tried to open them, but eventually, light pierced through, forcing me to squint until my vision adjusted.
A white ceiling. Cold. Sterile.
Wait… what?
My heart skipped. I turned my head slowly, my gaze darting around. The faint beeping sound of a monitor echoed in the quiet room. A clear tube was taped to my arm, leading up to an IV bag dripping steadily.
I was in… a hospital.
But… how? Who brought me here?
