Chapter 6:
MANSUR ALONE
There was something different about Mansur, and his brothers could sense it. When they had finally recovered from their grueling hunt, Mansur aggressively fought for position at the carcass of the fallen lead bull. He muscled his way in between Carnis and Hannibal as they customarily jockeyed for the best position. Leviathan bit onto the torosaurus’ leg and began to pull, attempting to rip off a piece of the carcass for himself. As Leviathan pulled, his brothers pulled back. Mansur tried everything within his power to stay in this deadly battle of tug o’ war but was knocked to the ground by Carnis" bulkier frame. Leviathan, in an impressive feat of jaw strength, tore the fallen torosaurus’ leg clean off and carried his prize off into the trees.
