What Dreams Are Made Of (MxF)

5209 Words

It started out as one picture he commissioned the king’s painter to create. He told the painter, Gustav, in fine detail, every aspect of the woman he dreamt about, right down to the tiny, angel-like freckles that had dusted her cheeks and nose. And what started as one picture turned into a room full of art of the woman in different positions and poses, in various styled dresses and various stages of undress. This room was off-limits to anyone but the king, under lock and key and heavily guarded--a court secret that so many wished to know. Louis thought the woman was beautiful—but unattainable. He thought she was so beautiful that there couldn’t quite possibly be anyone like her on the face of the planet. She was simply an angel he had dreamt about and that was that--very disappointing.
